I've alternated between unp and cbbe for years and I can confidently say now that unp is better. Armor mods are way better on this side. But on a real note: It's personal preference. We can't really choose for you. Pick the one you want. UNP has the more lore friendly ones and CBBE has the slooty ones. for SSE there are 2 bodies now, CBBE and BHUNP. there isn't a lot of armors for BHUNP compared to CBBE so it does take more converting for other outfits. CBBE is the default body mod of SSE as it was released first. CBBE has a side body called cbbe 3bbb that utilizes better ... CBBE is pretty much objectively better than UNP because of the support and tools, and you can pretty much make UNP's body in CBBE using BodySlide if you want to. I don't like either of their default bodies because CBBE is too ideal, but the waist is way too thin, and UNP is too petit. I prefer something closer to the vanilla, but leaning ...CBBE gives you versatility you can make your CBBE look like 7base or UNP or TBD or whatever but IMHO its textures are better and on SE CBBE is better supported. Just find a preset you like and tweak it. I prefer the standard curvy with minor adjustments in Racemenu. UNP is better for LE.

If you view UNP and its variants as prefabs for lazy people, then go with CBBE since it has significantly greater customization, so you can shape women how you want them with a better version...It uses the CBBE Mesh but UNP textures, and it has bodyslide sliders for a wide range of body types. You can set the CBBE body shape in Bodyslide and then convert any UNP/UUNP outfits to fit that shape, UUNP not UUNB. sigh. You can always use 'bodytypes of skyrim' which let's you change the bodytype in game.

Now, with CBBE 3BBB you get the distribution working with both, the thing is - would it be worth it? UNP if you want a realistic, slimmer body most women would have. CBBE if you want some disproportionately unrealistic curvy big boobies girl.Look at the armor mods you want to use and look if most of them have Unp or Cbbe conversation. Also check out the skin mods, most of them have both versions avaliable. You just need to be aware that the shape will be UNP, meaning if you put an UNP outfit on CBBE Slim, the bust will get a lot bigger, the shoulders and hips wider and the waist thicker, and if the outfit in question is skimpy/doesn't cover the pelvis, then you'll see hip-gaps.
